1. Act quickly. Shut down and unplug your computer and remove the battery.

3. Quickly rinse out the keyboard with water and turn the laptop over to drain. Repeat this process several times. Try to use purified water if available.

4. Allow to dry completely. Wait several days to put the battery back in or to plug it in.

Last Friday, the company vice president sprung a real surprise on me. When he came over to my cubicle, I was fully expecting to be admonished for one reason or another.
